Intended use:
Helo Vents allow air to be released from chest wounds. Helo Vents help in the prevention and treatment of tension pneumothorax caused by penetrating chest trauma.
Helo Vents consist of two layers, an adhesive hydrogel layer and an adhesive (latex-free) backing layer. Halo Vents contain no medical substances and are not made from animal or human derivatives.
The chest seals are impermeable to fluids and seal the wound. They are used until the patient can be transported to a medical facility, where they are removed for examination and follow-up care.
